Wedding Day:  Formal, Fall, & Fun

What about kids?

Unfortunately, the wedding reception is 21+ but we do welcome parents to bring their kids to the resort and join us for all other activities. Basin Harbor is a kid-friendly resort and has full-time babysitters for hire on-site.  Please arrange in advance with the resort. Kids are invited to the outdoor Friday welcome Party and Sunday brunch.

We are happy to organize a kids’ evening camp if there is enough interest!

Should I stay at Basin Harbor Resort and Club?

Yes! The entire wedding will happen at Basin Harbor, and we have only taken a room block here. There will not be transportation provided from other areas, although if you do stay elsewhere, you're still welcome to join us. Basin Harbor is a beautiful resort on Lake Champlain. Private 1, 2, and 3-bedroom cottages are available to book, and you are encouraged to come for 2 or more nights to celebrate and have fun with us!  Don’t book online but call 1-802-475-2311 to get the Treanor-Aldrighetti wedding discount.  Map of Basin Harbor

There are nearby camping areas, but many hotels and Inns in the area will be charging a "Fall Premium" for this time of year.

Check-in time at Basin Harbor?

Check-in time at Basin Harbor Club is 4 p.m.

Ceremony: “Need to know”

The ceremony will begin at 3:30 pm and be held on grass at the Lodge Lawn. Please dress accordingly, as we will be outside unless there is rain.

Cocktail Hour & Dinner “need to know”

Cocktail hour is outside at the North Dock, and dinner will be inside a heated wedding tent. Cocktail hour and dinner will happen in sequence following the ceremony.

Can I rent a bike, boat, or golf cart at Basin Harbor Resort and Club?

Yes! You can rent these à la carte at the resort at the time of check-in.

Do I need a rental car?

If you want to explore other areas of Vermont while in town, yes. If you're looking to stay at the resort the entire time for golfing, lake activities, and exploring Basin Harbor then no car is needed.   Ubers are not available at Basin Harbor.

What will the weather be like?

Typically, October in Vermont lends itself to some beautiful days, but there’s always the possibility of colder temps and/or rain. Please check ahead of arrival and pack accordingly. We'll do our best to create an enjoyable weekend, but the entire wedding, aside from the dinner and party, is scheduled to be outside.

Please elaborate on the dress code?

The welcome party is dressy casual (sports coats, dresses) with a fall festive theme. We recommend bringing a layer as it will get chilly when the sun sets. Wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner & party will be formal attire: suits and dresses. Fall Colors are recommended but not required!  Make sure to pack layers! We’d rather you be warm and comfortable this weekend than cold.

RSVP?

Please give a true RSVP by August 15th, 2024. RSVPs are all done online.

Gifts? Registry?

We’re just thankful for your attendance at our wedding, but if you choose to give a gift, our registry can be found here.

Food allergies?

We’ll have a place to note this on your RSVP, and Basin Harbor is fully equipped to handle this.
