Travel and Accommodations

Shuttle from (BTV) Airport: Basin Harbor offers a shuttle from Burlington International Airport. Please arrange this shuttle in advance on your own resort reservation. If you do not plan to leave the property for the duration of your stay, this is an excellent option.

Rent a car: You may wish to have a car when you are on the property if you hope to explore other areas of Vermont. There are great mountain hikes under an hour away, and the town of Vergennes and Middlebury at 15 minutes and 30 minutes respectively.

Drive: Downtown Burlington is about a 45-minute drive away. If you plan to join us for any portion of our wedding celebration and are not staying at Basin Harbor, we ask you please be mindful and not to drink and drive.

Uber is a great option from the airport to the resort - it's about $60 one way. Another great option is Green Mountain Taxi, about $80 one way. The company has a van and an SUV, fitting 6-7 people which is a great option to share and coordinate with other attendees.

Guests can book through the Basin Harbor Concierge/Front Desk or feel free to call directly at (802) 503-3096 to book yourself. They take reservations in advance or last minute. Guests can either pay by credit card or cash, or charge directly to your room.

Drive:

Approximately 4-hour drive from the north side of Boston. There will be plenty of people coming from Boston, so please let us know if you plan to do so and are without transportation. We would be happy to connect you with someone who can drive you!

Drive: Approximately 5-hour drive from the west side of Manhattan towards Albany on I-87 N. Fly: Frequent direct flights are available from JFK, LGA, and EWR to BTV airport.

Burlington is a 45-minute drive from Basin Harbor. The resort offers shuttles. Request in advance.

From Montreal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport:

Drive: Approximately 2 hours and 35 minutes by car. There are no direct flights from Montreal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport to Burlington Airport (BTV).

All wedding events will be held at Basin Harbor and a room block has been reserved for your
convenience, which is available to book on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please book before Sept. 1st to take advantage of these special rates.

There is limited availability of each room type so book as soon as possible.

Be sure to utilize our wedding information when making a booking to take full advantage of our discounted wedding prices, which are nearly 50% discount on non-wedding prices.

We highly recommend that all guests stay on the Basin Harbor property as all weekend
events will take place here. This will provide easy access to all the resort amenities and allow you to fully participate in the weekend itinerary.

Accommodation options on the property include private studio, 1, 2, and 3-bedroom cottages. If you’d like to stay with another friend or group of friends, please indicate when you book your reservation. Most of the cottages have pull-out couches to allow for more guests per cottage.

If Basin Harbor no longer has availability, please add yourself to the waitlist. We will work with the staff to try and allow all to stay on resort.

Additional Hotel Options:

This time of year is incredibly busy for Vermont. Many hotels will be booked or will have inflated prices. Please check with us if you need help with alternative options. We will work to make sure there are transportation options organized for all!

For the outdoorsy folk:

Button Bay State Park in Vermont offers a variety of camping options, set in a picturesque location along the shores of Lake Champlain. The park is known for its scenic views of the Adirondack Mountains and its family-friendly environment. It has campsite plots and cabins with necessities. It is only a 7-minute drive from Basin Harbor. Bring your tent, rent one of their cabins, or rent an RV / Van through sites like Outdoorsy.

This is a really fun way to experience Vermont in the fall (or as I am told by Chris).
